Library:-
Library offers appropriate knowledge resources to meet the information needs of the academic community of the institute. Library holds rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources like books, journals, databases, audio- visual materials and e- journals in various disciplines of medical sciences.
Library is adequately furnished and provides air conditioned reading space for students and staff. It provides a spacious reading hall for students along with separate reading section for faculty.
The Library houses all important reference sources like encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, manuals, statistics and yearbooks. The collection ranges from general to subject specific sources. All the reference sources are stacked in separate section. The Library conducts library orientation sessions for all in the beginning of the academic year which familiarizes the students with library facilities and services and rules regarding issue books.
All issues/returns can be made at library counter from 09.00 AM to 04.00 PM (Monday- Friday) and 09.00 AM to 02.00 PM on Saturday.
RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE LIBRARY
Here are some rules and regulations that essential for library users:
- All the users entering the library must keep their bags and other belongings at the entrance and sign in the register at the checkpoint. Do not leave any valuable at the checkpoint.
- Silence should be strictly maintained in the library.
- Identity card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
- Students should carry their identity card while borrowing books.
- Mobile Phones and other devices likely to cause disturbance are not used in the library premises.
- Misbehavior in the library is strictly prohibited.
- The library books/journals are not to be spoilt with an underlining or scribbling on pages. Defaulters will be fine heavily equal to the cost of replacing of the books.
- Show the book at the check point before taking out the issued books.
- All the students who want to return the books issued on their names are advised to wait until the books are shown as cancelled against their names.
- Eatable and beverages are not allowed inside the library.
- Library reserves the right to call back any issued books/Item at any time.
- Loss of books, if any, should be reported to the librarian and it should be replaced with a new copy.
Rules & Regulations for Seminar Hall
Here are some rules that are necessary to follow by all the individuals while attending the seminar/presentation in the seminar Hall: –
- Arrive on the time to ensure starting and ending on time.
- Have Agenda and come prepared.
- Be Concise, stay on topic.
- No phone, email, text, side conversation.
- Ask clarifying questions if you don’t understand.
- Value the strength of diverse input.
- Demonstrate mutual respect, no negative criticism.
- If anyone is disagreed with anything then he/she should propose a solution of that thing.
- Mobile phones must be on the silent mode
